The 20 Mio € investment at CordenPharma Caponago resulted in the construction of a new commercial aseptic fill and finish plant, consisting of two highly flexible filling lines allowing the manufacture of a broad range of vials, Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS) and cartridges by using state-of-the-art nest & tub technology. One of the new lines is already operational, with a successful PAI FDA inspection for two products, which will increase the manufacturing capacity up to 20 million vials per year and add expanded lyophilization capacity.
On Monday, November 5th, CordenPharma held a special event with their customers to celebrate the inauguration of the new Aseptic Fill & Finish Plant at CordenPharma Caponago, Italy.
The day started with key lectures from industry-renowned guest speakers Mark A. This was followed by the highlight of the event – the official ribbon cutting ceremony, which included Patrick F. Schnitzer and Achim Riemann (Managing Directors, International Chemical Investors Group), Fabrizio Fiordigiglio (Managing Director, CordenPharma Caponago), and Monica Buzzini (Mayor of Caponago, IT).
