The Manager provides results oriented, day-to-day management and leadership of manufacturing processes within some of the Corden Pharma Colorado production areas. The Manager is accountable to ensure that processes are efficiently transferred into manufacturing and that all manufacturing quantities and timelines are met with right first time execution. The Manager is responsible for oversight of continuous improvement programs within Operations and is accountable to define and meet targeted improvement in processes and technology. The Manager is responsible for maintaining department budgets to target, ensures that personnel in their areas of responsibility are adequately trained to meet right first time goal, and that regulatory compliance is achieved in health and safety, quality, environmental, and in human resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Manages operational staff and directs activities of technical (or other support) staff in the assigned areas for commercial and developmental manufacturing. Responsible for developing, controlling and adhering to budget targets. Substantial input into the capital spending budget, planning and vision for assigned area. Provides routine input into standard cost structure for products.

Minimum of a BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; non-technical degree with applicable experience in a manufacturing/production environment may be considered equivalent. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or fine chemicals manufacturing environment, with an appropriate combination of technical and/or operational management assignments.
The Manager possesses the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. They respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. They write technical reports and instructions and effectively present information to customers, management and groups of employees. They possess the ability to present verbal instructions and explanations on technical and business issues.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, factor analysis, etc.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
