SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting the department and our customers with integrated IT service solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected and meet regulatory standards.

Assistance may include one of more of the following: Configuring and validating secure systems and physical controls, responsive service management to IT local / global system, and general maintenance of site systems to detect security, process, and/or data integrity weakness. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must reside in the Greater Boulder-Denver area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • >> Demonstrate self-directed learning
  • >> Interact with mentors to achieve project goals
  • >> Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • >> Train computer users
  • >> Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • >> Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
  • >> Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • >> Clean up computers. Maintain computer source images and drivers
  • >> Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • >> Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
  • >> Install computer peripherals for users
  • >> Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
  • >> Other duties as assigned

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Attainment of sophomore standing at an accredited postsecondary institution. majoring in Computer Science, Industrial System Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and understand common information technology technical literature. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers, customers and management.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply problem solving and best judgement to assigned tasks.

SALARY

This is a paid non-exempt internship position with a fixed duration of employment. Salary based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
