SUMMARY

The Corden Information Technology (IT) Department maintains and provides support for IT operations used by our multi-site business customers. Repeatable IT services are designed and built to reduce costs and cycle times, eliminate failures, meet regulatory requirements, and improve customer satisfaction.

Examples of IT services include enterprise IT systems and application support, help desk and end user services, asset management, patch management, release management, desktop management, and server and storage management.

The role of the Corden Pharma IT Automation Intern is to work with our IT/Automation group and deliver upon these standards/practices. The Corden Pharma IT Automation Intern is responsible for assisting our customers with integrated IT/Automation services that ensure proprietary and confidential data are protected per mandated regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • >>  Demonstrate self-directed learning including Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • >>  Interact with staff and customers to achieve critical business goals. Ask questions in a customer-centric manner to determine nature of problem.
  • >>  Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
  • >>  Other duties as assigned.

LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Required Skills

  • >>  Be eligible to work in the US and work in the Boulder Colorado metro area for up to 30hrs/week.
  • >>  Demonstrate strong customer service communication skills, both written and oral.
  • >>  Be self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and a team-player.
  • >>  Have computer systems (software and hardware) knowledge and basic Active Directory administration experience. Ideally, support experience in a networked client-server environment (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • >>  Display strong problem-solving skills including an ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary.
  • >>  Be comfortable quickly adapting to change, multi-tasking and supporting competing priorities.
  • >>  Have demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Basic, SQL scripting and/or other scripting technologies.
  • >>  Have demonstrated experience with Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 10 operating systems.

Preferred Skills

  • >>  Have demonstrated understanding of manufacturing automation principles.
  • >>  Show familiarity with Emerson Delta V, Rockwell RS or other enterprise automation system.
  • >>  Show familiarity with virtualization software, i.e. VMWare.
  • >>  Have desktop/laptop imaging development and management experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Have or working towards a degree in Computer Science, Industrial System Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience in an IT services supporting role.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and understand common information technology technical literature. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers, customers and management.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply problem solving and best judgement to assigned tasks.

SALARY

This is a paid non-exempt internship position with a fixed duration of employment. Salary based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
