The environmental, health & safety (EHS) Intern position is designed to be flexible so that it is responsive to the intern’s education schedule. Typically, the position is filled by an active undergraduate student; however, interns may also be recent graduates, who have not yet achieved full time employment, graduate students, or recent graduates waiting to start graduate programs. During the active school session, interns typically work 8 to 10 hours per week, and normally perform on-going EHS related tasks. During breaks from school, interns may work up to 40 hours a week and will be provided with project work that will vary depending on what needs the EHS group currently has to fulfill. The position is flexible and specific tasks will depend on the successful applicant’s knowledge and skill set.

Class work in an undergraduate Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with intention to pursue a bachelor or graduate degree.

This is a non-exempt position. Salary based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
